Sylvia Coppola - Duck Creek Pottery
All of Sylvia Coppola's pottery is either thrown on the wheel, hand built, or a combination of the two. No molds are used,
therefore no two pieces are exactly alike. The pots are made from a stoneware clay. After texturing, adding handles, or adding
other parts, they are dried completely and then bisque fired. The pots are then glazed and gas fired to a higher temperature
of over 2300º. Each firing lasts between 8-12 hours. The glazes vary slightly with each firing making each piece one of
a kind.
